Hydropower and water projects are different from factories: the crane sits idle for most of the year, then has to make a heavy, precise lift when a gate needs maintenance — often at a site with unstable power and no local engineering support. The specification focuses on reliability, corrosion protection, and being certain the machine works on the day it is needed.
| Crane type | Gantry crane (gate slot) or overhead crane (powerhouse) |
|---|---|
| Capacity | 10 t, 25 t, 50 t, 100 t, 160 t, 250 t |
| Span / rail gauge | 8 m – 25 m |
| Lifting height | 10 m – 40 m |
| Duty classification | A3–A5 (infrequent, heavy, precise lifts) |
| Handling | Gate lifting beam, automatic hook, winches, hoists |
| Electrical | Wide input tolerance, phase failure protection, generator-ready |
| Protection | Galvanized or multi-coat system, IP55, sealed bearings, drainage |
| Options | Height indication, load display, control-room operation |
This is the range we normally supply for this industry. Your offer states the exact capacity, span, lifting height, duty class and voltage for your site — and where a figure here differs from the offer, the offer prevails.
Yes, but the other way round from a factory. Because it is used rarely it does not need A7 components — but it must work reliably after standing idle for months in a damp environment. That means easy-to-reach greasing points, brake release checks, sealed bearings, corrosion protection, and a commissioning procedure written for a machine that has been parked.
Yes, and we quote for it regularly. Tell us the site supply: we widen the input tolerance on the panel, add phase-failure and under-voltage protection, and avoid drive configurations that trip on every start from a weak generator. This is a specification decision, and getting it right is far cheaper than fixing it on site.
With height indication and load display on the crane, plus a defined communication procedure between the operator and the people at the gate. On gates that are submerged we look carefully at the lifting beam and hook arrangement, because a guided beam or automatic hook reduces the risk of a mis-seated lift considerably.
Workshops, warehouses, assembly and maintenance bays. Light structure, low wheel load, quick to install.
1–20 t · span to 30 mHeavy duty and long spans: steel fabrication, precast yards, smelters, heavy machining shops.
5–100 t · custom spanOutdoor stockyards, precast beds, container and aggregate handling. Hook, grab or C-hook.
3–100 t · rail or tyreTell us the material, the heaviest piece, how many hours a day the crane runs and whether it works indoors or out — we reply within 24 hours.
Crane type, capacity (t), span (m) and lifting height (m) is usually enough for us to quote. Send a photo of your workshop if you are not sure.
