Most workshops do not need a 100 t crane — they need the right 5 t crane, in the right place, in a building that was not designed for one. This is where details decide whether the crane is useful: the hook approach at each end of the bay, the headroom above it, the wheel loads on the existing columns, and whether the operator can see what they are lifting.
| Crane types | Single girder overhead crane, jib crane, monorail hoist |
|---|---|

| Span | 7.5 m – 22.5 m typical; to 30 m on request |
| Lifting height | 6 m – 18 m, low-headroom options |
| Duty classification | A3–A5 (FEM 1Am–1Bm) |
| Hoist | CD1/MD1 wire rope hoist, low-headroom hoist, chain hoist |
| Control | Pendant as standard; radio remote or dual control optional |
| Power | 380 V / 50 Hz standard; other voltages and 60 Hz on request |
| Options | VFD, IP55 motors, galvanized finish for damp rooms, load display |
This is the range we normally supply for this industry. Your offer states the exact capacity, span, lifting height, duty class and voltage for your site — and where a figure here differs from the offer, the offer prevails.
Usually yes — this is one of the most common problems we solve. Options, in order of cost: a low-headroom hoist (300–600 mm of extra hook height), a double girder crane with the hoist on top of the girders, a runway section that sits higher, or in the worst case raising the roof. Send the height above the crane and a photo of the obstruction and we will tell you what is achievable.
Often yes, with a check rather than an assumption. We give you the wheel load per corner, the wheel base and the rail section, and your structural engineer confirms the runway and columns. Where the loads come back too high, the usual fixes are a longer wheel base, more wheels per corner, or a lighter crane. Never accept a crane quotation that does not state the wheel loads.
Pendant control is cheap and reliable, and works where the operator stands in one place. Radio remote is better whenever the operator must see the load — precision work, or anything where a pendant cable would drag across the shop. Many customers take both: remote for everyday work, pendant as the fallback when the remote battery dies.
Workshops, warehouses, assembly and maintenance bays. Light structure, low wheel load, quick to install.
1–20 t · span to 30 mHeavy duty and long spans: steel fabrication, precast yards, smelters, heavy machining shops.
5–100 t · custom spanOutdoor stockyards, precast beds, container and aggregate handling. Hook, grab or C-hook.
3–100 t · rail or tyreTell us the material, the heaviest piece, how many hours a day the crane runs and whether it works indoors or out — we reply within 24 hours.
Crane type, capacity (t), span (m) and lifting height (m) is usually enough for us to quote. Send a photo of your workshop if you are not sure.
