The problem: a crane that could not be repaired
The yard's existing hoist had failed, and the original supplier could no longer provide the same model or the matching parts. The crane structure was still sound; replacing the whole crane would have been unnecessary.
How the replacement was identified
The customer sent photographs of the crane nameplate, the hoist, the trolley and the wheel assemblies, with measurements. From those we confirmed the capacity, lifting height, rail profile and mounting dimensions, and proposed a CD1 hoist that would fit the existing trolley frame.
Parts were quoted separately from the hoists, so the yard could buy only what it needed: two hoists, four wheel sets, two drive motors and the conductor rail system.
What was delivered
- 2 × CD1 5 t wire rope hoists, 12 m lifting height
- 4 × wheel sets
- 2 × drive motors
- Conductor rail and collectors
- Wiring diagram and installation notes
Result
The yard repaired the existing crane instead of replacing it. Parts shipped in 15 days.
The same customer later ordered a complete single girder crane, shipped in 30 days — the spare-parts order became the reference that made the larger order possible.
