A 5 t gantry crane is the cheapest way to put powered lifting over an open yard, a precast bed or a workshop extension with no building to hang a crane from. The rails sit on the ground, so the crane is independent of the buildings around it — and the civil work, not the crane, usually decides the layout.

The table shows the range we normally supply. Your offer states the exact capacity, span, lifting height, duty class and voltage for your site — and where a figure here differs from the offer, the offer prevails. See the full gantry & semi-gantry cranes range →
Two parallel rails, level and to gauge, on a foundation your contractor builds to our drawing — normally concrete beams or sleepers sized for the wheel loads we give you, with drainage so the rail is not sitting in water. We supply the clips and end stops. Getting the two rails parallel and level is the difference between a crane that runs true for years and one that eats wheel flanges.
If there is a building with columns that can carry a runway, an overhead crane is usually cheaper and takes no ground space. If the area is open, the layout may change, or there is no suitable building, the gantry crane is the practical answer. Many sites use both, and we will say which one we would quote for your layout.
Yes — specify galvanizing or a heavy multi-coat epoxy system with a stated dry film thickness, IP55 equipment, sealed bearings, stainless fasteners and drainage. In coastal Vietnam and similar sites this package is the difference between a crane that lasts fifteen years and one that looks tired in three.
Workshops, warehouses, assembly and maintenance bays. Light structure, low wheel load, quick to install.
1–20 t · span to 30 mHeavy duty and long spans: steel fabrication, precast yards, smelters, heavy machining shops.
5–100 t · custom spanLaunching gantries and bridge erection machines for road and rail viaduct projects.
Project-engineeredSend the span, lifting height and how many hours a day the crane runs — we reply with a specification and a price within 24 hours.
Crane type, capacity (t), span (m) and lifting height (m) is usually enough for us to quote. Send a photo of your workshop if you are not sure.
