At 50 t the crane stops being the only question. The wheel loads it puts into your building are large enough to decide the runway and the columns, the duty class creates a wide price spread between two otherwise similar machines, and the lifting tackle becomes part of the engineering. This is the size where drawing approval before production protects you as much as us.
| Capacity | 50 t main + 10 t or 16 t auxiliary |
|---|---|
| Span | 16.5 m – 31.5 m; wider by engineering review |
| Lifting height | 12 m – 24 m |
| Duty classification | A5–A7 (FEM 1Bm–2m) according to the process |
| Trolley | Open winch trolley, doubled reeving, main and auxiliary drums |
| Hoisting speed | 0.5–6 m·min⁻¹ stepless with VFD |
| Travel speeds | Bridge 30–60 m·min⁻¹; trolley 20–40 m·min⁻¹ |
| Safety | Overload limiter with display, dual brakes, anti-collision, limiters |
| Services | Drawing approval, factory load test, erection supervisor, training |
The table shows the range we normally supply. Your offer states the exact capacity, span, lifting height, duty class and voltage for your site — and where a figure here differs from the offer, the offer prevails. See the full double girder overhead cranes range →
Sometimes yes, often with runway work. The deciding numbers are the wheel load per corner and the wheel base, which we send before you commit. Where the loads are too high, the usual fixes are a longer wheel base, additional wheels per corner, or a heavier runway beam. We will not quote a 50 t crane without giving you those numbers — the check belongs before the order.
Normally in sections in 40 ft containers with transport brackets we design, or break-bulk for wider machines. The loading plan and erection sequence come with the documentation, and we can quote a supervisor for assembly, load testing and handover. If your site has no mobile crane large enough, tell us early: the erection method should decide the shipping split, not the other way round.
Assembly and no-load testing on the factory track, then a rated-load test — normally 1.25 times rated load unless your specification says otherwise — with the overload limiter set and demonstrated, brakes checked and both hoists run through their limits. You receive the test report, photographs and video with the shipment.
Workshops, warehouses, assembly and maintenance bays. Light structure, low wheel load, quick to install.
1–20 t · span to 30 mOutdoor stockyards, precast beds, container and aggregate handling. Hook, grab or C-hook.
3–100 t · rail or tyreLaunching gantries and bridge erection machines for road and rail viaduct projects.
Project-engineeredSend the span, lifting height and how many hours a day the crane runs — we reply with a specification and a price within 24 hours.
Crane type, capacity (t), span (m) and lifting height (m) is usually enough for us to quote. Send a photo of your workshop if you are not sure.
